Our first Wine Tasting and Home Tour Fundraiser at Casa Estrella was a wonderful success! Again we would like to give a big thank you to Greg and Karen Ellis for the use of their beautiful home. We would also like to thank all of the wineries who were able to participate. Due to the success of the event and your support, we have been able to continue supporting some of our ongoing recipients during their time of need. Thank you all so much!
At the request of the owners of Casa Estrella, the time of the fundraiser has been changed. The tasting will now begin at 6 p.m. and run till 9 p.m. The address is: 16960 Schell Rd. Knights Ferry. Also, here is a preview of just a few of the wineries you can expect to see at the event!

Recently, we were contacted by Jean Little, a Social Worker Supervisor of the Stanislaus County Community Service Agency Child and Family Services department. Jean made a request on behalf of a young man in need of help. The individual, who asked to remain annonymous, has recently aged out of the foster care system and has been fighting cancer. Originally, it was requested that we help support him by providing funds needed for his living expenses during a bone marrow transplant at Stanford University Hospital. Unfortunately, since that time, his cancer has returned and as a result he is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment. To help him pass the time during his ordeal, we have provided him with a new MacBook laptop along with accessories. We hope that this will raise his spirits in his time of need, and we look forward to providing him with future assistance as it is needed!
One of the recipients of Danielle’s Gift is Arjay Wiles. Arjay is two and a half years old and suffers from Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy along with other health issues. We received a request from his mother for help with therapy that is not covered by insurance. We have been glad to help this family who is working so hard to offer the best quality of life possible for their child. When asked where she heard about us, she said that she was recommended to our foundation by another mother, whom she had met at the Ronald McDonald House in Florida. Word is spreading and we are on our way to helping many children. Below is a link to a newsletter from the therapy group that will be handling Arjay’s treatment. River Rafting & BBQ Fundraiser cancelled.
Due to the unusually high levels of the rivers this year, we have decided to cancel our rafting fundraiser. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and look forward to seeing you all in October for our wine tasting event!
Our St. Patrick’s dinner, dance and auction was a huge success. It sold out a month before and there was almost 100% attendance, a good time was had by all. Thank you to Turlock Golf & Country Club and a special thank you to Vicki Milgrom for her hard work and dedication! Pictures from the event should be uploaded by Sunday March 27th.
Watch for river rafting on the Stanislaus River sometime in July and wine tasting in October. We will follow with details as they become available.
